So what is thefashionmagazine?

thefashionmagazine was born from idealism - a wish for an intelligent, gorgeous-looking fashion magazine that didn't talk down to its readers.

I think of thefashionmagazine as more than just some features, stories and pictures - I want it to be a bi-monthly bundle of inspiration.

And because I think fashion is as much about what goes on in your head as what clothes you wear, each issue will be a mixture of lush fashion and beauty, fabulous photography and super-sharp new writing - both fiction and features. Quite unlike any other fasion magazine I have ever seen.

Our first issue will be launched in January next year and the theme is "vintage glamour". So I'm looking for writers who can put their passion for vintage style into words and photographers who want to show off their skills. That doesn't mean you have to just take pictures of clothes, either. Give free rein to your imagination - take pictures that you think will inspire our readers.

No matter what your income or dress size, I hope you will be able to luxuriate in the pages of thefashionmagazine.

For clothing and beauty brands, this is a chance to be featured in a fresh new magazine, written by an award-winning fashion journalist and her crack team of fashionistas, writers and photographers.

Our first feature list includes, but isn't limited to:

Clothes in the 1920s/1930s/1940s/1950s/1960s/1970s/1980s

Fiction on the theme of “vintage glamour”

Vintage valentines

Vintage beauty - samples needed for tried and tested

Hair tips - particularly if you have products which might help with doing 40s style hairdos

We don't have a penny to our name (that's why we're initially launching online), so at the moment I can't offer you more than kudos, but for anyone looking for that elusive "experience" that everyone seems to demand this oculd be your first step. All writers will, of course, receive full credit for their work.

If the above has piqued your interest, email thefashionmagazine@ymail.com and tell me a little bit more about yourself.
